The Green Apple School Program is a Metro initiative created to encourage conservation and healthy living. Metro has invested $1 million into the program, and beginning this Fall, will provide hundreds of $1,000 grants to primary and secondary schools with big ideas for green projects in their communities.
If your school has a green project in mind, like tree planting or a zero-waste lunch, submit it today. The grants could be awarded as soon as the end of October and early entries will have the best chance of being chosen, based on a first-come first-served approach.
