LCBO LAUNCHES FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN FOR UNITED WAY

Funds to be directed to United Way agencies across the province to help communities manage the effects of COVID-19

Tuesday, September 22, 2020 – Toronto –The LCBO is launching its annual fundraising campaign for United Way. Beginning this Thursday, September 24, customers who are able can donate $2, $5 or $10 alongside their purchase at LCBO stores across Ontario and online at LCBO.com.

Funds raised will support United Way continuing to deliver vital social services to vulnerable communities, through mental health programs, food and shelter, employment resources and youth programming. Additionally, funds from this campaign will be directed to the 27 United Way agencies across the province as they work to help local Ontario communities recover during the pandemic.

“Local support is rooted in the LCBO’s Spirit of Sustainability platform and we are proud to once again partner with United Way to help to improve the well-being of our customers, employees and communities across the province,” said George Soleas, President and CEO, LCBO.

LCBO customers can contribute to the United Way in-store and online at LCBO.com from Thursday, September 24 to Sunday, October 11. When customers donate in-store, the funds are invested directly into their local communities and stay 100% local.
