For over 95 years, The Beer Store has made it their commitment to protecting the environment, one beer can at a time. The Beer Store in Upper Oakville has adhered to corporate environmental responsibility. In 2022, the Upper Oakville location and other Beer Stores in the neighbourhood collected more than 1.7 billion alcoholic beverage containers thanks to their collaboration with the Ontario Deposit Return Program (ODRP). Compared to what was sold, more used containers were accepted. By reusing each bottle of alcoholic beverage more than 15 times, over 70 billion containers have been kept out of landfills.
